Hotel Boutique M is smack in the heart of what they’re calling “New Barranquilla.” Its most important neighbor? Centro Comercial Viva Barranquilla just a few blocks away. This is one of the largest malls in all of Colombia. Hundreds of international brands under one roof with a gigantic food court and cinema inside as well. Perfect place to cool off from that scorching midday heat.

A little further up north, easily walkable or just a minute’s cab ride away, is the Buenavista complex (I and II) together with Mall Plaza forming one huge shopping district. Between these malls are fashionable new restaurants and bars.

Parque Bosques del Norte and Parque de la Electrificadora are quite the options for outdoor lovers. Both parks are safe, among popular places where locals can be found jogging in the evenings or walking their dogs. This is one of the best ways to see local lifestyles. Nightlife? A short taxi ride from the hotel brings you to some of the best bars in Alto Prado, yet far enough away that there will be no noise when it's time to sleep.
